The Headstones

Well here ya go...a review of a fantastic show by the HEadstones in Toronto
at the Wearhouse.Enjoy fellow fans!!!

October 31rst set the tone for a show that was to be filled with loud
music, great preformers and lots of fun. I travelled all the way from Sault
Ste. Marie to be a witness of one of Canada's greatest rock bands ever and
was treated to a superb preformance. The Nixons and the Gandharva's rounded
off the show with gutty preformances and prepared the crowd for Canada's
version of the bad boys of rock. They would not be disapointed..
The Headstones apeared dressed in full make up to pay homage to the
Helloween holiday and Huge Dillon was his usual charming self. The band
tore into an electrifying set filled with such classics as "Oh MY God",
"Tweeter", and "It's All Over" as well as their newest hits from "Smile and
Wave". Hugh masterfully guided the audiance through has visual displays
that we often provides proving why he is "Canada's bad boy of rock and
roll", much to the crowds delight. The Headstones unique sound of heavy
rock and punkish roots filled the air at the Wearhouse sending the audiance
into a freenzy...it was clearly evident who the people were there to see.
After a set that seemed to never end, The Headstones concluded only to be
beckoned onto the stage 3 diffrent times for repeat oncores. They ended the
show with a hard hitting version of "Cemetary" which sent the crowd into a
frenzy...Hugh saluted the crowd and walked of the stage to the crowds
cheers. Trent, Tim and Mark were visually exhausted but still continued on.
Trent put on a workshop of guitar wizardry and Timmy was nothing less the
incredible on the bass. Mark showed why he is truely one of the best
Canadian drummers around by adding a guttsy preformance to solidfy it all.
All in all, those who choose to go trick or treating vs going to the show
got tricked out of one of the best shows i have ever seen, while the rest
of us people got the treat of a life time....all hail The Headstones!!!
Dedicated fan....Steve Lindstone...
